Brenda Smith

Brenda Smith is the owner/operator of Blue Frog Communications and the Special Events Coordinator for the Compassion House Foundation. She brings to 24- years experience in the area of marketing, communications and event planning and has worked for both large and small organizations.

A graduate of the Grant McEwan Community College Advertising and Public Relations program (1987), Brenda has been recognized as a leader in the communications sector winning a Gold Quill Award from the International Association of Business Communicators for a Community Relations program she developed for AGT (Telus).

Additionally she is an active volunteer; chairing Relay for Life in Sherwood Park for two years raising over $400,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society, volunteering on the Parent Association and volunteering her time as a mentor for the Canadian Youth Business Foundation.

When Brenda’s not engaged in coordinating, planning, leading, (or volunteering!), she is here at Anderson Career Training Institute, galvanizing our students with her passion for marketing and communications.
